Best known for its Sunday brunch, Murphy’s is also a popular spot for an upscale lunch. A birthday gathering there early in October gave us the opportunity to try some dishes from the restaurant’s new fall menu.
Several at our table ordered the Acorn Squash Bowl, including me, adding expertly grilled shrimp. Cleverly presented in half a baked acorn squash, the “bowl” was overflowing with toothsome rainbow quinoa, brown rice, and roasted root vegetables. The subtly sweet squash and its savory filling combined for a hearty and healthy fall dish!
