Atlanta’s Best Barbecue

0

I’m no barbecue expert and, in fact, I successfully avoided it for many years. However, I have enjoyed some great barbecue recently and find these spots to be worthy of a visit:

Smokebelly
Upscale Southern barbecue with a great selection of lighter dishes, creative sides and cocktails; try the pimento cheese with pork rinds!

Sweet Auburn BBQ
Barbecue with an Asian accent; order the taco trio and don’t miss the pimento cheese wontons.

Heirloom Market BBQ
Korean-inspired barbecue with a selection of unique housemade sauces.

Fat Matt’s Rib Shack
Reliably fall-off-the-bone tender ribs.

Bone Lick BBQ
Rock ‘n’ roll barbecue; try the Sloppy Ho Sliders.

Fox Brothers
Classic Southern sides with award-winning barbecued meats.

Daddy D’z
SS and I used to frequent this BBQ dive when we lived in Grant Park; served the old fashioned way, with a slice of Wonder bread.
