Due to my taco addiction, I rarely order anything else at Mexican restaurants. However, at a recent dinner at Superica I was feeling a bit more adventurous and tried the chicken mole, called Pollo Perfecto.
Mole is a very complex sauce with a laundry list of ingredients including oregano, cinnamon, cumin, and dark chocolate. Superica usually serves its sauce over a leg quarter with crispy skin so I requested the mole on the side to keep it that way. Grilled jalapenos cranked up the heat on this mildly spiced version with just a hint of chocolate.
