Legacy Restaurant Partners Announce New Restaurant

Slow-smoked barbecue and smooth bourbon will soon be available when Twin Smokers Barbecue & Bourbon opens in November in the Luckie Marietta District in Downtown Atlanta. Legacy Restaurant Partners, known for bringing original food and entertainment concepts to the downtown neighborhood, continues to innovate with this new restaurant—just in time to commemorate Legacy’s 20-year anniversary in Downtown Atlanta.

The restaurant promises a delicious good time for lovers of smoked meats, fresh sides, craft beer and strong cocktails to match. Legacy Restaurant Partners’ corporate executive chef Chris Blobaum (formerly corporate chef of Bone’s, OK Café and Blue Ridge Grill) will oversee the menu of authentic, high-quality foods cooked fresh every day.

“We have sourced what we believe to be the best smokers in the U.S.,” explains Brian Bullock, managing partner of Legacy Restaurant Partners. “Because we’re focusing on high-quality, slow-cooked barbecue, we wanted a smoker that could take the flavor of our meats a notch above the rest.”

“Twin Smokers” refers to the restaurant’s two custom fire-engine-red Oyler 700 smokers, which cook the best barbecue around. One smoker is designated strictly for chicken and pork, and the other for beef, which strengthens individual flavors.

“Our menu features Southern-style barbecue with hickory-smoked chicken and pork, and Texas style barbecue with mesquite-smoked beef brisket,” says Blobaum. “These smokers really make the difference in flavor, along with the quality meats we are sourcing from local farms. Oh, and don’t forget to try our signature milkshake!”

In addition for setting the standard in approachable epicurean experiences in Atlanta, Legacy Restaurant Partners also is known for its prowess in the world of bourbon. Twin Smokers revels in sharing this distinctive luxury of smoky liquor and pairing it with flavorful barbecue. An extensive bourbon selection and beer program full of both canned and bottled local and regional brews will be offered as well.
