Wine for Wining

Marquis Philips ShirazI always end up drinking Marquis Philips shiraz when the shit hits the fan with ST. Last night LG offered her advice while helping me drown my sorrows after his sudden departure.

It’s a great 2007 shiraz from south eastern Australia. The mythical creature on the front of the bottle is a Roogle. On the back of the bottle it says “A cross between the American bald eagle and the Australian red kangaroo, it symbolizes the friendship between our countries.” Sounds kinda like a freak show to me. The wine is a collaboration between American Dan Philips and Australian winemakers to make big, delicious wines.

It is a smooth, deep shiraz with notes of black pepper and dark fruits. And, like all of the Marquis Philips wines, it’s a screw top….love it! Lately, I just hate to take the chance on a cork. Plus, with a 15.5 % alcohol content you’ll get a nice, swift buzz.

I’m not a pretty crier. It’s been twenty four hours since ST left but I have to keep my shit together at work. As soon as my foot hits the gas pedal though, I’ll be drivin’ ‘n’ cryin’ (my friend Kevn Kinney would appreciate that).

I’ll be on the road, my own revolutionary road. Funny…..guess the crazy guy was right about Frank. He never made it to Paris.

Guess that is what you get when you when you have the morals of an alley cat and go after married men. Probably best not to wire to much more about ST in your reviews. Everyone knows who he is and what you did. Not very much to be proud of. I would keep it on a low profile if I were you.
